CONSTRUCTION OF THE GARDEN
OFFICE BUILDING
Floor is of flooring grade T & G chipboard on 50mm battens screwed to the concrete base. Incorporating plastic sheet or liquid damp proofing membrane.

This design allows us to fully insulate the floor which is normally an area very prone to heat loss, providing excellent levels of insulation to keep heat in during the cold months and out in Summer.
Wall structure is of a 100x50mm timber frame at 400mm centres bolted to the concrete base. Walls internally are of MDF sheets with joints covered with timber fillets or plasterboard taped and filled.
Ceilings are plasterboard finished.
Floor, walls and ceilings are fully insulated with 70mm and 50mm highly efficient Celotex or Rockwool batts.
The roof is usually constructed from factory manufactured roof trusses which will be delivered direct to site.
The finish to your home office building can be Cedar shingles, Clay tiles, Aluminium tiles (that
in appearance look like clay tiles). Felt and felt tiles are also options.
EXTERNAL FINISHING
All timber, wall cladding and decking materials and other exposed timbers are
pressure treated, prior to delivery, to give suitable external weather protection.
INTERNAL FINISHING
All glazed units are fully sealed double glazed units to B.S. 952. A separate fuse box will protect and isolate the electrics. A suitable number of power sockets and ceiling spotlights will be provided. Cabling will be run to the consumer unit from the remote power source in your house.
Electrical cabling is concealed within the walls and conforms to I.E.E.16th Edition.
